A major stand alone addition to the existing stadium at the west-seating bowl. The project consists of concrete intermediate and club levels, composite steel suites and press levels. The structural drawings were issued in various packages for fast track construction.

South End Zone Addition

A 10,000-seat addition with a concrete frame and precast floor decks. The construction for this project was successfully completed within eigth months between football seasons. With 45-foot cantilevers supporting the lower and upper seating decks, the structural design was governed by the vibration criteria. A three-dimensional computer model was developed using SAP90 general analysis program. The acceleration due to the impact of spectators was maintained at less than 5% of ground acceleration.
