Ujina, Chile

A 130 meter by 45 meter crane maintenance building. The crane girders span 14 and 16 meters requiring 1524 mm deep plate girders with back-up trusses for lateral impact loads. The columns are a pair of wide flange sections laced together with single angles. The project is designed for 160km/hr wind and seismic loads corresponding to zone 4, in addition to crane loading.
